Luc Waring "Registered Trademarks"

 16th - 27th March 2017

Luc Waring's solo-exhibition Registered Trademarks, is now on show at Imitate Modern! Waring explores how we, both as individuals and a society, have internally registered luxury branding through advertisements. For this exhibition, Waring's major source of influence comes from today's advertisements, which he considers to be the international ready-mades of today. The exhibition is on display until 27th March, if you are looking for plans for the weekend, we are open on Saturday's 11:00 - 18:00.

Her Majesty by TASCHEN
The book shows the extraordinary public and private life of the world's most famous monarch. Born in 1926, married in 1947, crowned as Queen in 1953. This book tells her remarkable royal story through hundreds of stunning photographs, many published here for the first time.

Dali. Les diners de Gala by TASCHEN

The opulent dinner parties thrown by Salvador Dali (1904-1989) and his wife and muse, Gala (1894-1982) were the stuff of legend. Luckily for us, Dali published a cookbook in 1973, Les diners de Gala, which reveals some of the sensual, imaginative, and exotic elements that made up their notorious gatherings.

Lee Lockwood - Castro's Cuba. An American Journalist's Inside Look at Cuba, 1959-1969 by TASCHEN

Originally published in 1967, Lockwood's interviews and observations are now republished by TASCHEN alongside hundreds of photographs covering both the weeks Lockwood spent travelling with Castro and the years he documented Cuba's transformation throughout the '60s.
